What I think I have decided is to make a place about writing and the use of words to create a variety of actions, emotions, responses, thoughts. I am hoping people will read each others comments (categorized) and reach out to each other with suggestions, critiques of their written works, examples of how words effected them in memorable ways and possibly provide a variety of art work, photos, ideas, etc. that will inspire writters. Posting ideas about words: when words helped them, when words hurt, when words persuaded, when expressing words made them feel better; Or just a place to go anonymously to share their writings or thoughts and get helpful comments back.

Darcie, I can absolutely relate to what you’ve said in your blog. My life has changed dramatically in the past year. After 15 years of being in a marriage I should not have been in, I finally gathered the courage to leave and start a new life. I had little confidence and was very afraid of not having money. I was afraid of the effects of a divorce for my kids. Mostly, I was afraid. I realized at some point that I could continue in this depressing situation or change. I chose to change. The costs were high, both personally and monetarily. My daughter decided to go and live with my ex, but I survived. I worked all summer to pay for the divorce, but I survived. Amazingly, I have enough money, and then some. I was able to purchase a wonderful house, with my own money. I truly believe God knows my fear and He provides for me and my son’s needs every day. My confidence has soared. Like you, I felt like a bird let out of a cage. Then – my mother passed away suddenly the day after Thanksgiving. I was really completely on my own now, but I believe it was with God’s blessing. She left us quickly and without pain and I believe God felt I was ready. I have started the new year with gusto and really believe better things are coming.
Change is always there, and, like you, I believe that attitude is everything. I am choosing to be happy. 🙂

Reading through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
